Mary Nordeng, the wife of Rod Nordeng, is the featured artist at the Charles City Arts Center for the month of May. Mary's paintings, quilts and textile arts are on display.

Next week's (May 13) meeting will be a work session for committees to discuss plans and goals for 2019-20. Please make an effort to attend. Committees will be discussing goals, fundraising ideas and upcoming projects including the swing sets at Washington School, well in Haiti and possible new projects including a service dog program. Hy-Vee has coin collection containers at the checks out and sold cookies last week to benefit Rotary's project to purchase swings for the Washington School playground.

Fun & Frolic: Members paid a dollar to celebrate the beautiful spring day
Program: This week's program was presented by Rod Nordeng on behalf of Dr. VanGuilder. Dr. VanGuilder was detained in surgery, but the Club was provided information on new vein procedures offered at FCMC. Rod also reported on some of the latest happenings at FCMC including a successful first-ever ladies night last week, the launch of a newly redesigned website this week, and the start of a new TV ad campaign for women's health services to be run on KIMT.
