Announcements:
- District Grant for Tree Planting Project - Dennis Donovan presented a $5,000 District Grant for our Club's tree planting project. This project will be a partnership with the City of Charles City and other organizations to begin replanting some of the tree population lost to the Emerald Ash Borer.
- Landlord Workshop Thursday - The Charles City Housing Task Force is pleased to present Brad Hanes of Iowa Real Estate Seminars as featured presenter on Aug. 24 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at the Charles City Public Library Zastrow Room. The seminar’s focus is residential property management with topics including Chapter 562A Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Law; duties of property managers; rights and obligations of parties to a lease; landlord obligations, tenant obligations; avoiding bad tenants; eviction; landlord liability; landlord and tenant remedies, to name a few. Practical property management examples will be woven-in throughout the evening’s seminar. Brad is a career real estate professional with an extensive background in all aspects of the real estate industry who has developed over 100 courses and seminars throughout his career. Stewart Realty Company, Charles City, IA is the event’s financial sponsor.

Scrap Driving Coming Soon!! Start saving your stuff for our annual fall scrap drive Sept. 30 - Oct. 7. Volunteer signups coming soon!

Fall Banners will be going up around September 1. The banners were funded in part with a District Grant last year.

Santa's Shining Lights Display Committee - If you are interested in helping with this year's holiday lights display and events, join the Satellite Club for their upcoming meetings on the first and third Tuesdays at 6:30pm at Dennis Donovan's office. More volunteer opportunities will be coming soon with this project. Dates for the show are Nov. 25 - Dec. 31.
