- Jean Troge, mother of Ann Troge, passed away on October 4. A funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City with Reverend Ray Atwood officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service at the church.
Announcements
- Picnic Fun - Thanks to Linda and her committee for planning another fun picnic. It was a nice evening and enjoyable to visit with the District Governor Jeff Halverson.
- World's Largest Polio Walk October 24 - Rotarians are gathering for the World's Largest Polio Walk at 10am on October 24. Our Club is encouraging our members to walk for polio awareness on that day. The Board will discuss ways to support Polio Plus as part of this effort. - Please be sure to sign up by noon on Fridays! Be sure to add yourself and any guests (other than the program). We need an accurate count so we have enough meals for our members and guests. Not sure if you will make it? It is better to put your name on the list by noon Friday and take it off later if needed. The weekly menus are also shown on the sheet.

Program: This week’s program was by Yoni Becker, owner of Achen Becker Media LLC. Yoni and his wife, Hannah Achen, purchased KCHA AM & FM and KCZE- 95.1 FM from Coloff Media in April 2026. Yoni has worked in radio for over 20 years, and Hannah farms in the area with her father. Yoni shared their personal and professional philosophy and goals for their business, placing their focus on local people and information. We look forward to partnering with them for our 2027 Radio Auction!
