Announcements:
Work Day in Cedar Rapids - Oct. 17 - Rotarians across the District are invited to join with the non-profit group Matthew 25 for a workday focused on home repair projects for low-income homeowners who have damage from the derecho. There are a variety of jobs based on skill level (many require little or no skilled labor), and jobs are assigned based on how you answer the questions on the registration page. Tools will be provided. Please register here if you would like to be part of this workday.
Scrap Metal Drive - Chris is seeking committee members to finalize plans for a fall scrap metal drive. Steel scrap prices right now are $65.00/ton vs $20.00/ton last year! They may change some for October, hopefully up more. A group will meet TONIGHT at 5:30 at L&J to get started.
Santa House Rehab - The Santa House used in Central Park is in need of some exterior updates to the icicles and display windows. A few handy members are needed to help along with artist Robin Maycomber to freshen things up before the holidays. Sign up here if you are interested in being on a committee!
Satellite Club Update - The Board and membership committee are hosting a Zoom meeting to assess how to best continue to grow our satellite club. Join the discussion Tuesday, October 6 at 6:30pm.
* Reminder: If you are not able to attend, please find someone to fill in for your assignment. *
