Board meetings are on the third Monday at 11am. Members were reminded that all are welcome to attend the Board meetings and minutes are available on the Club website under the "For Members" tab or in Documents in the Member Area.
Ellen's scholarship should be set up with the Community Foundation by the end of the month and future contributions will be directed through the new fund. The member of our Club who donated matching funds to the scholarship as a challenge to the Charles City Orchestra has made their contribution. We look forward to the match from the orchestra.

Friend of Rotary Bill Cavanaugh has passed. Deepest sympathies to friends and family.
Dr. Sawat Phruttitum, a physician who served the communities of Jesup in the 1980s and Charles City in the 1990s as passed away last week.
Trevor Heitz, grandson of John Ebert, will have ALC surgery this week. Prayers for a smooth surgery and recovery.
Our Club has been presented the District Club Excellence Award 2019-2020, #3 in the District for Foundation Giving and a certificate of appreciation for our ongoing giving to the End Polio Now Campaign. Way to go Rotarains for your dedication!

Volunteers Needed - Salvation Army Bell Ringing (Dec. 5) - Rotary will ring the bell 9am to 5pm at Charles City Hy-Vee.
Holiday Lights Caravan Road Trip - On November 29 meet up at 4pm and head to Decorah. A carryout meal stop will be made before heading back through New Hampton and ending with a tour of our light display in Charles City.

Call Santa - December 12 - The Club will once again host a Call Santa day on December 12 from 1-4pm. Volunteers are needed to answer calls as elves, Mrs. Clause and Santa
Light Your World Project - The Satellite Club's lighting project will be fully on display in downtown starting Friday, November 27. Be sure to take time to check it out this holiday season.
Call for Nomination - Board and Officers - Per our Bylaws, it is the time of year the Club will take nominations for 2 seats on the Board and the Club officers. If you are curious about one of these positions, see Ann, Kay, Veronica, or Julie. The election will be held in December.
Depot Pledge - The Board voted to extend a pledge of $1,000 for the depot project with a possible future contribution to support its renovation.
No Radio Auction 2021 - After much consideration, the Board voted to skip this year's radio auction due to concerns with obtaining donations and bids. We will look forward to the return of the radio auction in 2022!
Fun & Frolic: Suspended until we are able to meet in person
Program: This week the Club heard from our District Governor Lowell Stoolman. He shared opportunities opened to us through Rotary and encouraged members to take an active role at the local and District level.
