Our own Assistant District Governor John Ebert attended our regional PETS training last weekend and had the opportunity to hear incoming Rotary International President Mark Daniel Maloney speak.
Announcements:
Middle School Play - The Middle School play, "The Secret Garden," will be held Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm. Linda Klemesrud's granddaughter, Teegan Prigge, is a lead role.
District Conference and Duck Race - Ducks are now on sale for the District Conference Duck Race. Funds go to the Rotary Foundation, and the winning duck will earn a Paul Harris Fellow. Ducks are $5 each. Each member will be billed for one duck. Additional ducks may be purchased through the conference registration site or see John Ebert. Fun & Frolic: President Staci tested us with St. Patrick's Day trivia.
Program: This week's program was presented by representatives from Floyd County Farm Bureau: John Pearson, Chuck Souder, Becky Meyer, and Jay Mathews. The group gave an overview of the purpose and history of Farm Bureau and outlined some of their role in policy making, education and community engagement. Specific projects highlighted included a new water quality trailer in partnership with Iowa BIG North and the Farm to Fork Dinner scheduled for this Thursday.
