Announcements:
Meetings Suspended - In compliance with safety regulations, the Rotary Club will suspend all noon and satellite club meetings. Tentatively, we will resume meetings on April 20; however, we acknowledge this is a rapidly changing environment and decisions will need to be made along the way. Members are advised to watch their emails for future announcements and updates. We will plan to hit the ground running with projects including the child safety kits and a highway cleanup project once we resume meetings.
Club Survey - During this time off, the Board and committee chairs would appreciate your feedback on topics important to the club. Please click the link below to take the survey. It should only take about 5 minutes!
Facebook Settings - Be sure you have joined the "Charles City Rotary Club (noon)" or the "Charles City Satellite Rotary Satellite Club" groups on Facebook. Then, make sure your settings are set to "All Notifications" to be sure you know when posts are made. This is another way for us to connect during this time away.
Check Your CharlesCityRotary.org Profile - Another housekeeping task in this off time is to check and update your profile on our website. This is how we know about birthdays and anniversaries as well as have the correct information to stay in touch. Also, make sure you have a profile picture. There is a photo directory available members, and this is an especially helpful tool for new members as they learn lots of names and faces.
Fun & Frolic: Larry Pump charged members a "participation tax" and tested the Club's knowledge about the U.S. Treasury and the IRS.
Program: This week's program was presented by Nick Hopp and Tanner Knowlton with High Point Realty and Auctions. High Point opened its Charles City office last spring and Tanner joined as the local agent last year. They provide land and ag sales and some farm management services for clients in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. They currently have 13 agents with offices in Stewartville, MN, Foutain City, WI, Decorah and Charles City. A new office will be opening in Algona this spring. Learn more on their website.
