Chili Cookoff Thanks - A hardy thanks to Ann Troge for representing Rotary with her chili. The chili entries were randomly numbered, so no one knew which organization they came from. Chuck Meyer and the Charles City Lion’s Club Chili #5 finished in first place ahead of runner-up Sally Vowell and the Elks (Chili #4) by 12 votes. Zolton Zorzi, representing the Charles City Community Fund (Chili #2), was just a vote behind in third place. The other contestants included Jennifer Lantz and the Foster Grandparent Program (Chili #1), Ann Troge and the Rotary Club (Chili #3), Victoria Mead and the C.A.Y.A Transition Home for Women (Chili #6), Mike Thome and the Knights of Columbus (Chili #7) and Kip Hauser representing the Charles City Community Center (Chili #8)
- MEAL SIGN UP - Please be sure to sign up by noon on Fridays! Reminder to add meals for guests (other than the program). We need to give an accurate count to Dave's so we have enough meals for our members and guests. Not sure if you will make it? It is better to put your name on the list by noon Friday and take it off later if needed. The weekly menus are also shown on the sheet.
