Fun & Frolic: Bill Feller helped mark National Vinyl Record Day with a stand-up/sit down game.
Program: This week's program was by Jenni Miller, local coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa. Jenni told the Club about their local mentoring programs including a community-based program, school-based program and specialty programs such as the new Beyond School Wall program partnering with Zoetis. The program's biggest need is volunteer mentors. There are opportunities for volunteers 1 hour per week, 4-10 hours per month or for special events and activities. The program also appreciates volunteers for their advisory board and donations of items such as crafts, games, tickets and gift cards. See Jenni and visit www.iowabigs.org for more.
Quarterly Salad Option - In an effort to address member requests for salads, the Club is going to offer a salad option next quarter. Members can choose to have a salad instead of the main entree for the quarter. Those taking the salad meal can still take the other parts of the regular meal (bread, dessert, drinks, etc.). The cost will remain the same. See Marcie to try this option for a quarter.
