Outstanding Senior Scholarship Applications -Senior students in the Charles City Community School District who are on schedule to graduate this year are eligible to apply for an Outstanding Senior Scholarship through the Charles City Rotary Club. A total of two scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded. Applications are available on our Club website, through the Charles City High School Guidance Counselors Office or by contacting Rotary Scholarship Committee Chair Mark Wicks at mark@charlescitychamber.com. Completed applications must be turned back in to either of the above by 1 p.m. on April 27th to be considered.
RYLA Applications Available - If you know a high school student who would benefit from attending RYLA, send them to District5970.org to find program details and fill out an application for the summer of 2026 RYLA event!
MEAL SIGN UP - Please be sure to sign up by noon on Fridays! Reminder to add meals for guests (other than the program). We need to give an accurate count to Dave's so we have enough meals for our members and guests. Not sure if you will make it? It is better to put your name on the list by noon Friday and take it off later if needed. The weekly menus are also shown on the sheet.

Program: This week’s program was an update from Floyd County Medical Center. Makenzie McNeill, director of marketing, provided project updates on the current expansion project and on phase II which is now in the approval phase. She also shared current news with highlights of the 2026 gala, Daisy Awards, new technology including being the first in the nation to offer Xpert® GI Pathogen Panel by Cepheid, and Hospital Day on the Hill. Brenda Cooper, ARN, also spoke to the group, with the latest surgical news from Dr. Clark and their surgery team.
