WinterFest (new Soupfest) is coming Feb. 25! Save the date - We will need lots of hands to help serve soup and sliders and long other activities. More details coming soon!

Trivia Team Wanted! The Charles City Middle School 8th graders are once again hosting a trivia event. The event is on March 4 at 7pm. Tables of 6 are available. See Linda if you would like to be part of a team with our Club!

- Distracted Driving Bill (Senate File 60) - Peter and Joann Bengtson have been in Des Moines lobbying for new legislation on distracted driving.
This new bill would ban all cell phone use while driving except for the one-touch it takes to answer or end a phone call. All other phone use would have to be hands-free, with some exceptions for certain professions and vehicles.

Program: This week's program was by presented by Jennifer Lantz director of the Foster Grand Parent Program. The local office administers the program in a 4 county area. Volunteers 55+ are placed in classrooms and daycares to provide student support. Volunteers who meet income guidelines are paid a stipend through the Americorps Seniors program. They are always looking for more grandparents. Learn more below.
