Prayers for Kay Winkelman's father-in-law had an aneurism in his foot and is in the hospital in Des Moines. He is not able to have visitors with COVID restrictions and is feeling down.
Continued prayers for Dan Elthon's sister Vicki. She was in a car accident and suffered a subsequent stroke. She has moved to rehab and starting to show some signs of improvement.
Announcements:
Rotary Derecho Donation Trailer - The Club is collecting a trailer full of supplies for victims of last week's derecho storm in the Cedar Rapids area. The trailer will be available for people in the community as well as Club members to donate needed items for victims of the storm. The trailer will be at the South end of the parking lot in front of Hy-Vee across the street from the Catholic Church. It will be available to drop off donations noon to 8p.m.
A couple more volunteers are needed to accept donations Thurday and to help with delivery on Friday.
Fun & Frolic: Cathy Rottinghaus challenged the members to step up with a donation to fill the trailer on Thursday.
Program: This week District Foundation Chair Don Meyer gave an overview of the Rotary Foundation including current disaster recovery projects for COVID-19 and last week's storms.
Our Club was also recognized for having 34 Paul Harris Fellows (cumulative contributions of $1,000). Thank you for your generosity and for spreading good in our world!

Jennifer E. Jones, a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland, Ontario, Canada, has been nominated to become Rotary International’s president for 2022-23, a selection that will make her the first woman to hold that office in the organization’s 115-year history.
