Cookbook Committee - We are asking all members to scan, or better yet, type up 5 of their favorite recipes and email them to Marcie Andrews at deanandmarcie@gmail.com. It is believed that we will use 200 and will be placing them in sections of the kind of food or beverage.
Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, April 3. Details are now online and open for orders! Cost for filled, hidden eggs in your yard:20 eggs for $10. Order as many as you'd like.
Charles City Flag Contest - Lions Club is holding a public contest to design a new flag to represent the community. The winning design(s) will receive up to $250, and the flag will be on public display in Central Park. Entries to be accepted through March 12, 2021. There is a $5 entry fee. Entries should be dropped off in a sealed envelope or mailed to the Community Revitalization office at 401 North Main St., Charles City IA 50616. You can also email pdf formats to info@charlescitychamber.com.
Program: This week's program was presented by Lisa Tan with My Happy Place and My Happy Haven. These community-based non-profits are comprised of volunteers dedicated to making a difference in the lives of sick women and chidren by providing qualifying recipients with a bedroom make-over, thus providing them with a fun, safe and therapeutic environment where they can thrive and heal.
