Announcements:
COVID-19 Grant - Last fall our Club returned $3,200 from a District Grant that was award to our Club to do a well and septic project in Haiti. The project was canceled due to unsafe conditions in Haiti. The Club has been given the opportunity to now put those funds to work for a local COVID-19 related project. The Club will apply for a two-part project. The first part is supplying face shields for direct health care staff. The second is the purchase of laptops to allow physicians to make required physician visits via FaceTime and will also give residents/clients the opportunity to communicate with their families in the same manner. Updates to come!
COVID-19 Information from Floyd County Medical Center - The lastest updates from FCMC are available on their Facebook Page.
Child Safety Kit Project - Our next project will be the assembly and distribution of child safety kits. The supplies have been ordered, and the committee is working on a strategy for interested members to help assemble the kits from home so we can hit the ground with distribution when circumstances allow. Stay tuned!
Club Survey - During this time off, the Board and committee chairs would appreciate your feedback on topics important to the club. Please click the link below to take the survey. It should only take about 5 minutes!
Check Your CharlesCityRotary.org Profile - Another housekeeping task in this off time is to check and update your profile on our website. This is how we know about birthdays and anniversaries as well as have the correct information to stay in touch. Also, make sure you have a profile picture. There is a photo directory available members, and this is an especially helpful tool for new members as they learn lots of names and faces.
