Meetings at the Elks to resume April 5 - We will once again offer in-person meetings starting April 5. The Zoom option will remain available for those who are not yet comfortable attending in person.
April Meal Sign Up - As we resume the in-person meeting option, we will return to having members sign up for lunches until we have a better idea of our regular meeting attendance. At this time, boxed lunches will be provided by Hy-Vee. You also may bring your own lunch if you prefer.
Meal sign-ups must be entered by 10 AM on FRIDAYS before each meeting. You will be billed for the meals you sign up for.

Easter Egg Hunt Volunteers. - Volunteers are needed to help pack and hide eggs. Volunteers can stop in at The Rustic Corner any time to pack eggs. If you call ahead, Tami will have things set up for you.
Rotary Foundation Duck Pluck - This year’s “Duck Pluck” will take place on May 1, 2021, virtually. The winning ducks will be plucked out of PDG Michelle Bell’s hot tub during the District Conference. Per our tradition, each member will be billed for 1 duck on their next quarterly invoice. Members may purchase additional ducks for $5 each by mailing a check payable to The Rotary Foundation to John Wasta 221 Kent Court NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402, or purchase ducks on line here. (Credit card fees apply)
District Grant Training - Club members need to attend a virtual District Grant Training on March 27 or through the virtual District Conference on May 1. At least one person from the Club must attend for the Club to be eligible for District Grants in 2021.
RYLA Update - RYLA 2021 is now planning to hold a 6-day (July 18-23) in-person RYLA at Coe College. Additional plans are still underway for Y-RYLA. See Dean Stewart for student application information.
Cookbook Recipies- We are asking all members to submit 5 of their favorite recipes and email them to Marcie Andrews at deanandmarcie@gmail.com. We need 200 recipes for a variety of food or beverage.

District 5970 is seeking candidates for District Governor to serve during the 2024-2025 Rotary Year. The district governor serves in an official role as an officer of Rotary International and is charged with leading D-5970 during their term.
Qualifications include:
Must have served a term as President of a Rotary Club
Completed 7 years of Rotary membership prior to taking office
Be a current member in good standing
Good leadership skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others
Public speaking ability and the desire to promote the good work of Rotary on a local and international level
