Announcements:
  • RAGBRAI Photo Booth – Rotary has a FUNdraiser planned to create photo opps for riders and visitors. We have the first row of the parking lot north of the Courthouse reserved to set up. Dean Tjaden is providing a couple of tractors, and we have a variety of props lined up to create some photos suitable for social media. The photos will be a good-will donation to support club projects and the Ellen Bengtson scholarship. There also will be additional information to raise awareness of the scholarship fund. A few Rotrains are needed to staff the booth and take riders pictures. Sign up below!

  • Friends Garden Work Day - Tue. July 19 at 5pm  - It's time for the next work day at the Friends Garden trailhead! We will be cleaning up and weeding ahead of RAGBRAI's visit since this will be a main checkpoint for riders.  Volunteers should meet at the park located next to the Legion Hall at Highway 14. Signup here so we have a headcount:

  • Parking Lot Clean Up - Thurs. July 21 at 5:15 pm It’s time to do a parking lot clean up before RAGBRAI. We will clean the parking lot at the Senior Center on Thursday, July 21 at 5:15pm.  Bring brooms and scoop shovels or leaf blowers if you have them. It shouldn’t take long!
  • Lion's Field Mulch - Mon. July 25 at 5:15 pm - The play area at Lion's Field is due to have fresh mulch. The City has provided mulch and Chris has generously taken time to move the piles with his equipment. We now just need a team with rakes to spread the mulch. Meet at 5:15pm and bring rakes.  Please signup so we have a headcount.

  • We are continuing to ask our members to sign up for meals each week to help us control food waste and membership costs.  Tabs are available at the bottom of the spreadsheet for the upcoming months. The weekly menus are also shown. Many members have found it easy to sign up for all of the weeks they plan to attend and then remove themselves by Friday if they find their schedule has changed.
  • Can't make the Noon meeting in person? Join us on Zoom or watch the recording

Remember we will start the meeting about 12:20pm to allow time for everyone to eat.
