Youth Exchange

In the 1950s the local club first became active in foreign student youth exchange and served
as the sponsor for the American Field Service. This continued until 1968, when the local club
dropped the American Field Service and led the district in support of its own Rotary Youth
Exchange. It became a tradition to host one or more students in the community. One year a total
of six local students were sponsored in a foreign country.
